Chatt. Co. gets good tax news, joins
transit group, and much more

   The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County got some good news on tax collections, voted to join a regional transit authority, approved changes to its Mobile Home Ordinance, and discussed a wide range of issues during its regular September meeting.
   Tax Commissioner Judy Liles informed the commissioners that thru a concentrated effort, her office has recently collected more than $130,000 in delinquent taxes. She noted that part of it was working with large corporations that are known for dragging their heels with payments and that it was a total team effort with her staff.
