BV Council looks to overcome
personal conflicts and issues

From the Sept. 30, 2020 issue of The Journal
By Richard Harris
   The Buena Vista City Council has a lot to overcome if its members are to become a team with a common vision and a decent chance to work well together. That was the basic finding at a recent City of Buena Vista Retreat moderated by Terrell Jacobs, a consultant with the Georgia Municipal Association.
   The retreat began with the question, "Where are you now?"
   The answers weren't pretty.
   They included: Not together; No compromise; No respect for each other;

Not on the same page; Continued conflict with each other; and No clarity on roles and responsibilities.
   However, by the end of a long day of discussions, Jacobs said there seemed to be light at the end of the dark tunnel.
