Marion officials discuss road projects

   The Marion County Commission discussed the status of road projects, dirt road maintenance, and other items during its regular monthly meeting for October 2020.
   The commissioners voted to spend $44,903 for patching Buffalo Road. This project was selected due to the fact that the county needed to spend that amount to roadwork to meet its obligation of spending an amount to equal 10% of state funds received for the 2020 Local Maintenance & Improvement Program (LMIG). It was noted that the patching would no only improve the condition of the road, but would also be good preparation for it to potentially be resurfaced another year.
