New Board wants BV Council to address blighted areas, vacant buildings, and to pause new permits

   The Buena Vista City Council received some ambitious recommendations from its newly formed Planning & Zoning Board (including fines and possible seizure of property), heard a plea from the Chief of Police to come up with an animal control plan, gave the OK to hire new police officers, reviewed CARES funding, and discussed various other items during its meeting last week.
   Planning & Zoning Chairman Anthony Murray turned in a written document

outlining the board's initial recommendations. They are listed below.
