MCHS Marching Eagle Band wins
big at Phenix City Invitational

   Fans who attend Marion County High School football games are used to seeing the excellent MCHS Marching Eagle Band "win" halftime, but the band also has its own competitions. They win at those, too.
   Last weekend, the Marching Eagles competed at the 39th Annual Phenix City Invitational at Garrett Harrison Stadium in Phenix City, Alabama. This year there were 13 bands that competed in the event from Alabama and Georgia. The competition was hosted by the Central High School Red Devil Marching Band and their director, Larry Wells.
   This season the band has been working on their show titled "Just Dance" that includes songs from the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, and the Cupid Shuffle.
   "This has been an exciting show to work on and they showed off their hard work on Saturday," said Director Josh Milam.
