Marion County officials move
to improve Census Count

   As the 2020 Census approaches, Marion County is listed as one of the "Hardest to Count Tracts in the Nation" by the Center for Urban Research.
   That means that only 65% to 73% of residents completed the last Census in 2010. The study also indicates that 100% of Marion County's households are considered to live in "hard-to-count neighborhoods".
   The Marion County Commission recently approved the formation of Complete Count Committee to try and get more people to fill out the Census this time around. Members of the committee are County Manager Justin Strickland, Deana Powell, Sam ... The rest of the story.
