Schley gets tough draw, but plays well & ends season with 22-7 record

   The Schley County High varsity softball team put up a gritty fight in the Elite 8 State Championship Tournament last week in Columbus, but lost 2-of-3 games to fall short of their ultimate goal. It was a very successful season for Schley, as the Lady Cats posted a 22-7 record, missed the region title by a tiebreaker rule, and made it to the Elite 8.
   "I am extremely proud of my girls and the season they had," said Coach Jody Sellars.

"The grit, fight, and determination my girls showed is what I'm about as a coach and what I want out of my players."
