Stewart moves forward with budget

   The Stewart County Commission moved forward with its budgeting process, got a report on roads and public safety and an update on the new precinct/fire house, as well as info on applications for recovery funds during its monthly meeting on November 9.
   During the meeting, the commissioners provided the citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposed 2022 zero-sum budget of $4,848,902. There will be no change to the millage rate (11.610 mils). That budget will be voted on at the December 14 meeting.
