Cusseta losing money to Columbus
due to errors with licenses

   Losing money to Columbus due to business license fees going to the wrong city, concerns about Cusseta businesses receiving warnings for zoning violations, and the possibility of joining a regional transportation system were among the topics discussed by officials at the recent monthly meeting of the Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County.
   County Manager Laura Lee Bernstein informed commissioners that she had noticed businesses located inside Chattahoochee County on the Fort Benning military base were purchasing business licenses to operate in Columbus-Muscogee County. In addition to being incorrect, it obviously results in a loss of revenue for Cusseta-Chattahoochee County.
