Area residents are asked to
'Adopt A Graduate'

   Members of the Class of 2020 have missed out on many milestones – prom, honors ceremonies, senior class trips, etc. – due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. While area high schools are currently attempting to make plans for graduation ceremonies of some sort, they have already missed much.
   That's why Buena Vista resident Toni King, owner of One Way Apparel, decided to ask fellow Southwest Georgia residents to do something special for this year's seniors. She formed a Facebook Page titled "Adopt a Senior, Class of 2020" and is encouraging people in Marion and surrounding counties to pitch in.
   Those who choose to participate pick a senior (many are listed on the page) and agree to recognize them in special ways.
   The "About" section of the page explains it like this: "If you find it in your heart, I am asking you all to help show love to the Class of 2020. Help send the message that they are not alone. Pick a senior (or seniors) to adopt! When you agree to adopt a senior(s), you agree to send them a card, gift basket, ... The rest of the story.
