Grand Jury: Build a New Jail

   The Grand Jury that convened on April 22 in Marion County formed a committee to tour the Marion County Jail and after reviewing the findings made the same recommendation as numerous grand juries before them – the county needs a new jail.
   The first time a grand jury made a recommendation for the construction of a new jail was back in April 2013. Since then, six of seven grand juries have come to the same conclusion. The only exception was in 2016, but ... The rest of the story.
