sales of alcohol outside city limits

for possible construction of new jail

   The Marion County Commission took a step toward allowing businesses in the unincorporated portion of the county to sell alcohol on Sundays, began looking at the feasibility of building a new jail, appointed residents to various boards, and discussed a variety of other issues during its recent monthly meeting.
   ALCOHOL: The commissioners voted (3-1 with Steve Young casting the lone "no" vote) to have County Manager Jason Tinsley and County Attorney Wayne Jernigan draft an ordinance allowing Sunday sales of alcohol.
