Marion County High's Whitley wins second State Title in discus

   Marion County High sophomore Ansley Whitley won her second consecutive State Championship in the discus event last week at the Class A State Track & Field Championship in Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany. She also placed fourth in the high jump and shot put, while her twin, Ashley Whitley, battled through an injury to place 9th in the discus, and teammate Febbie King, a freshman, placed 7th in the 200 meter dash.
   Last year as a lanky unknown freshman, Ansley shocked the state with a championship toss of 111' 10". This year she headed into Hugh Mills Stadium as the defending champion and the pressure that goes along with the status.
