Community mourns loss of young
man who had been missing

   The body of a missing Buena Vista man has been found. According to police, 23-year-old Jamarcus Bridges was last seen leaving his employer, Aludyne-Columbus Foundry, around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19. He was driving a black 2006 Acura 3.2TL.
   The 2006 black Acura was located on Highway 26 West and it looked like it ran off of the road. Bridges was located near the vehicle. He had expired. The Marion County coroner identified the victim as Bridges.
   The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident. It is unknown at this time what caused the wreck. Sheriff Derrell Neal of the Marion County Sheriff's Office wants to thank the public for their help in searching for Bridges.
   "The community came together immediately after they learned he was missing and started to help locate Bridges," said Sheriff Neal. "We are thankful he was found; unfortunately he was deceased. The family will be in our thoughts and prayers. We ask the Lord to strengthen them in the days ahead. Our deepest condolences go out to the Bridges/Sales Family."
   A special candlelight vigil was held in honor of the young man in at M&L "Handi Pantry" in Buena Vista on the evening of Saturday, February 26.
   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. at the Josh Gibson Center in Buena Vista. Burial will follow at St. Paul CME Church Cemetery in Buena Vista.
