Wildcats look for another stellar season,
hope to be in the hunt for State Title

   The Schley County High School baseball team is looking for another superb season. The Wildcats, who have been one of the best and most consistent teams in the state lately, have "reloaded" after losing four starters from last year's squad.
   "Our goal is to win a state championship," said Head Coach Chuck Cheek. "That's the same goal as every other team in the state should have. We want to win it all. How hard we work will determine how close we get."
   If recent history is any indication, they will definitely be in the hunt. Last year they posted a 26-4 record, won the Region 4A title, and advanced to the semifinals of the state playoffs, where they lost to Treutlen, who went on to win the title. Two years ago the Wildcats won the state championship. The year before they made it to the quarterfinals.
   The team has six returning starters – Will Barry, Chase Patrick, Jarrod Wall, Reid Ragsdale, Wade Law, and Clint Sellars.
