Marion approved equipment funding,
discusses 'Dump', declines request to help pay for July 4th fireworks

   The Marion County Commission approved funding for equipment for Emergency Medical Services and to repair a motor grader, but declined a request to help sponsor a local July 4th weekend fireworks show during their recent monthly meeting.
   Officials also continued discussing possible changes to how the "County Dump" is operated, reversed an earlier decision to possibly close a portion of Dan Wells Road, approved naming of a private road, gave the okay for bids to repair a local bridge, and listened to concerns about water and roads, as well as a request to start their meetings later in the evening.
