Stewart Schools get
$339,000 Literacy Grant

   The Stewart County School System has been awarded a grant of $339,600 as one of 38 Georgia districts that are receiving Literacy for Learning, Living, and Leading in Georgia (L4GA) grants.
   The goal of the grant is to improve student learning in the areas of reading and literacy.
   Dr. Valerie Roberts, Superintendent of Stewart County Schools, said she is very excited about the grant and she is confident that the system will be able to use the funding to make some very important gains.
