The Chattahoochee County Board of Education recently released plans for how to tackle the 2020-2021 school year during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The plan is titled "What to Expect: CCSD Re-Opening of Schools Initial Plan."
School officials stress that while the plan is laid out in great detail, changes may be necessary as they adjust to circumstances.
The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 12 and the current plan is for all schools to operate in person. However, parents will also be given the option to select virtual instruction. Those who choose the virtual option will have to sign an agreement that the student will participate for at least one full semester.
For all students, registration will be conducted online beginning July 8. Open House will also be conducted online on August 10.
Once students and teachers return to the classrooms, the system has a vast array of new rules and regulations to focus of safety. This will include very limited access to the campus by visitors.
