   Buena Vista resident Roosevelt Jackson, 98, has fired many pitches in his lifetime, but he said none were more special than the one he threw last Saturday, June 25 in the Milwaukee Brewers' Miller Park. It was the ceremonial first pitch to open the Major League

team's annual Negro Leagues Tribute Game for which Jackson was one of only three special honorees.
   Prior to the game, Jackson and the other honorees (Ray Knox and William McCrary) visited with fans and autographed special flyers printed for the occasion. They were then driven around the field and announced. Jackson said the cheers were amazing.
   "The sound went off like a drum," he said. "The sound of cheers in the stadium would almost shake you."
