   The Omicron Surge has arrived in our region, according to the latest data from the Georgia Department of Public Health.
   Across the five-county region, as of Monday, Jan. 10, there had been 317 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the last two-week period. That's up in every county (Marion, Schley, Webster, Stewart, Chattahoochee) by a total of 162. Area Vaccination Numbers

   Below are the latest figures on Covid-19 vaccinations for area counties, according to the West Central Georgia Health District.
   Marion County: There are 3,477 residents fully vaccinated, which is 41% of the county's population. In addition, around 9.2% of Marion County residents have at least some natural immunity due to actually having had the virus.

BV to host Vaccination Clinic

   The City of Buena Vista invites area residents to a special Mobile Wellness Clinic hosted by Phoebe on Saturday, January 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Josh Gibson Center, located at 116 Rogers Street, Buena Vista.
   They will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations.
   All Georgia residents 12-years-old and older are eligible.
   All vaccine recipients:
   * Will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
   * Will be required to wear a mask (if you don't have one, one will be provided).
   * Will only be able to bring one person with them into the check-in and vaccination area, if it is medically necessary for assistance.
   Appointments are requested, but walk-ins are welcome, too. You will need to have a photo identification.
