burglarized and vandalized

   Volunteer firefighters are among the unsung heroes of small towns. Their funding is very limited, they spend time away from their families to go to training classes, they maintain equipment, and they do the work for free. So, it's a slap in the face when someone steals from them.
   That's what happened recently to the Fort Perry Volunteer Fire Department in Marion County, which is located at 5580 Highway 240 North.
   The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is assisting the Marion County Sheriff's Office in investigating the crime and a reward of at least $750 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible.
