Brent Cobb visits Stewart County

   A homegrown professional musician returned to his roots recently, as Brent Cobb visited the site that was the inspiration for the title track of his latest album – Providence Canyon. While at the picturesque tourist site in Lumpkin he performed the song, signed autographs, and became an honorary member of "Georgia State Parks Friends".
   While Cobb's hometown is listed as Ellaville, where his family moved when he was 14, his father, Patrick, is from Richland and he has very strong ties with the people of Stewart County where Providence Canyon is located.
   In a previous interview with The Journal he said, "Really that whole surrounding area is home for me."
