   The Schley County High Football team is optimistic about being competitive in 2016 after last year's very young team was bit by the injury bug and struggled through an 0-10 season. Their new head coach, Darren Alford, has more players on the squad and he likes the effort they're putting into preparing for the season.
   "Last year they were very young and were learning to play the game," said Coach Alford. "They worked hard, but needed time to mature and learn how to compete. … This year we have more depth with the addition of new players. We had a good off-season working out and training."
   He also believes they will be more balanced on offense, which he sees as a strength.
