Eagles look to move from
contender to champions

   The Marion County High School varsity softball team is looking strong and hoping to move from contender to champion in 2016.
   The Eagles field one of their most experienced teams in a long time. Last year they had only one senior and still battled their way to a 17-10 overall record and into the state playoffs, so expectations are very high this year.
   "Our 2015 season was huge," said Head Coach David Wells. "It was great to make the state playoffs and give Trion a run for their money in the first round in two close games. The girls gained confidence and realized they could compete with the top teams in Class A."
