Schley Wildcats win 6th Straight Region Title
and prepare for State Playoffs ranked No. 6

   The Schley County High varsity baseball team is ready to swing into the state playoffs after winning the Region 5A Championship and winning 2-of-3 final regular season games.  It's the Wildcats' sixth straight region title. The No. 6 ranked Wildcats finished the regular season 17-9 overall and 12-0 in Region 5A.
   The Cats will host the Georgia School for Innovation & the Classics (GSIC) for a double-header this Friday, April 29 in the first round of the playoffs (game times 4 and 6:30 p.m.). If a third game is needed in the best-of-three series, it will be played on Saturday. If they win, Schley will then play either Seminole County or Claxton in the second round.
   "We are really proud of this team," said Coach Chuck Cheek. "This has been a tough year for us. We lost 7 seniors last year, so we knew we had a bunch of holes to fill with young guys and upperclassmen who would be first-time starters.  Throw in our top 3 starters on the mound going down ...
