becoming COVID-19 Hot Spot

   The numbers of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to increase inside The Journal's coverage area, but are still relatively low when compared to many more urban counties. However, Dr. Dan Singleton of Phoebe Primary Care of Buena Vista is urging the public to not get complacent in the battle against the pandemic.
   "I think we'll probably see more and more cases," he said. "I think we'll follow a course more like Albany (perhaps the hardest hit city in the state) than like Atlanta, but maybe, hopefully, not as bad as Albany."
   The Georgia Department of Public Health recently unveiled a "heat map" that appears to show that Dr. Singleton may be correct. Rather than simply reporting the raw number of confirmed cases per county, it gives ... The rest of the story.
