Candidates for Co. Commission Chairman, School Board will be featured next week

   Webster County residents gathered inside the Ag/Extension Building last Thursday evening to listen to local candidates during a special Candidate Forum that was moderated by Dave Wills, former chairman of the Webster County Commission.
   The candidates provided answers to questions asked by the moderator and some also fielded questions from audience members.
   In this article, the newspaper provides summaries of the portion of the forum that included the candidates for Tax Commissioner and for the District 1 seat on the County Commission. Look for summaries of the other portions of the forum (Commission Chairman, Board of Education) in a future issue. Also, video clips of all of the candidates' answers are already available.
Tax Commissioner:
  Candidates for Tax Commissioner present were Marjorie Hine and Marie Stanfield. Tracy Holbrook was unable to attend due to illness.
