How Sweet It Is.
The Schley County High Wildcats blitzed thru the Georgia Military College (Prep) Bulldogs in a 51-0 victory in front of a large crowd in Wildcat Stadium last Friday in the first round of the State Playoffs. The Cats, who have now scored 50-plus points three games in a row, advance to the Sweet 16 round and will host Washington-Wilkes this Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The Wildcats opened the game with an 80-yard drive. While junior quarterback Jay Kanazawa entered the playoffs leading the state (Class A-II) with 2,157 passing yards, the Cats made a statement with their running game by not throwing a single pass until they had marched 80 yards into the endzone.
