The young Marion County High varsity football team showed how much it has improved this season by trouncing Taylor County 17-0 at home last Friday in Eagle Stadium.
Technically, it was the Eagles' first shutout of the season, but it was actually the defense's second, as the only points given up to Talbotton were due to a safety.
"We had an outstanding effort all around - offense, defense, and special teams," said Head Coach Billy Law. "Quarterback Ty Goodroe was our Player of the Game, Cecil Young did great kicking and punting, and our long snapper Walker Johnson was right on the money, which is important, too.
