Schley County High improved to 4-2 overall and is now in first place in the race for the Region 6 title with a 2-0 record inside the region after beating the visiting Chattahoochee County High Panthers, now 2-4, by a score of 29-6.
"Chattco has a good team and we're extremely happy to get the win," said SCHS Head Coach Darren Alford.
Schley scored a shut out of defense and allowed only 59 yards the entire game. Chattco's lone score came on defense when Jakeem Harris returned a fumble 85 yards late in the third quarter.
Chattco Head Coach Ryan McKenzie said he sees why Schley County is ranked in the Top 10.
