Taylor learns craft and starts business

 It's been said that necessity is the mother of invention. That statement is fitting for Buena Vista native and Marion County High School graduate (Class of 2013) James Taylor. While looking to save money, he learned a skill that he has turned into a business refinishing furniture.
  "After college I struggled to find furniture for my apartment, so I went to a local thrift store in Macon and bought tons of old wooden furniture," said Taylor. "I then learned that people have made a living off of buying old furniture at thrift stores and selling them on Facebook marketplace. I listed a dresser that I restored and it sold immediately. From that day I was hooked and began building a business around the craft."
