80 Marion County households enter week No. 4 under boil water alert

 The lack of consistent water pressure – and in some cases the lack of much water at all – has led to around 80 Marion County households living under a constant “boil water notice.”
 As this issue of The Journal was going to press, those households were about to enter their fourth week under the notice.
 County Manager Will Johnson said the Marion County Commission might discuss the possibility of adjusting the bills for those customers at its August 9 meeting (results not available at deadline), but so far they’ve been paying their full water bills.
 The county has provided some bottled water along the way, but the customers are advised by the West Central Health District to not drink or cook with the water they receive from the Marion County Water System.
