BV Grays baseball team prepares to take a big trip to Pennsylvania

 A group of youngsters will soon have the opportunity to go on the trip of a lifetime, play some baseball, learn some history, and represent the smalltown of Buena Vista on a big stage.
 They will be travelling to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to compete in the Josh Gibson Youth Baseball Classic, which is named after the late Josh Gibson, who was born in Buena Vista and lived here until he was 12. Gibson went on to become perhaps the greatest slugger in baseball history. He played in the Negro Leagues and had an unofficial home run count of 900-plus. He is often referred to as the “Black Babe Ruth,” but some say Ruth should be referred to as the “White Josh Gibson.”
