McCorkle is 'All-State' player

(From the December 20, 2006 issue)
   Schley County High School senior Brooke McCorkle earned Second Team Class A All-State honors for her performance in the 2006 softball season.
   McCorkle batted .457 with a slugging percentage of .529 to help the Lady Wildcats claim the Region 5-A championship and an appearance in the “Elite Eight” round of the state playoffs. She also scored 21 runs and drove in seven runs. She had an on-base percentage of .488.
