Cusseta residents receive appointments

   The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County made several appointments during a recent meeting and conducted various other items of business.
   The appointments included:
   * William Miller to the Board of Assessors;
   * Commissioner Walter F. Rosso to the Valley Partnership, as well as to the Board of Directors of Southwest Georgia Healthcare, Inc.;
   * David George (interim manager), Brandin Beeler (mechanic), and Donald Moore (commissioner) to be certifying

officials and property selectors for the State of Georgia Surplus Website.
   In other business, the commissioners:
   * Denied the Health Department’s budgetary request for the 2007 fiscal year (to be considered in the 2008 fiscal year);
   * Changed the schedule of the monthly work session to the fourth Monday of the month;
   * Approved a motion to proceed with the finalization of the USDA grant for a loan to National Securities Associates.
